💡Short unfiltered notes and findings on startups and business | I teach @nocodemvp and tweet @bramk | 💙the internet

Hey friends! 👋
Last week I finished the transfer of my 3rd product acquisition to date! After Startup Stash and StartupWatching, I’ve now sold Road to Scale! 🎉
I launched this website late November. It’s a curated knowledge library with 300+ content items for every stage of your startup journey. Entirely made and automated without code (using Carrd, Zapier and Airtable).
About 8 weeks ago I was introduced with someone at an SF-based VC firm who was interested in Road to Scale. They were looking for ways to build out their content strategy and came across my website.
But, why would someone buy a no-code website?
It had 20k people that used it to date
They liked the name and domain
It was a starting point for their content strategy (instead of building themselves)
Potential to launch a V2.0 fast
They quickly showed interest. And despite the fact that I hadn’t thought of selling it before, I thought it would be cool to demonstrate that products built without code can also get acquired.
Because it was built with no-code tools, the transfer went swiftly and I’m super excited to see where they are taking it next! Unfortunately the website is now down as they are already working on integrating it into their own new platform.
Now, onto the next one! Currently that’s my course nocodemvp.com :)
High five from Amsterdam ✋

First questions to ask:

- What evidence is there that people want this?
- How many people want it? How much are they spending on this problem right now?
- How can you reach these folks, at scale?
- Why are you the right person to build it?
