I got some great feedback from a reader last week ( 👋 Luke!) about newsletter content. He wanted to see more art bot coverage, so I’m hoping to get a little more back to our “roots” this week in the New Bots section.

Harder, however, to find good stories about art bots for the Required Reading section! But I’m on the case. Remember, if you see anything out there in the world that you think should be included, let me know! Send me a tweet, or reply to this email.

Researchers find that Twitter bots can be used for good

According to Emilio Ferrara, a USC Information Sciences Institute researcher, not all Twitter bots are born bad. He should know. Ferrara created a “large-scale experiment designed to analyze the spread of information on social networks” and found that “good” tweets spread just as quickly as bad tweets.
