Thank you for opening my newsletter! This week I made a sketch for you. For those new to my newsletter, I am a graphic novelist working on a sci-fi fantasy story called LUNA LILY. It’s about a nine-year-old whose world-famous parents leave Lily feeling lost in their shadow with no clear direction to her own identity. Her parents are not blind to Lily’s feelings, but their work consumes all their time, which forces Lily to explore her love of science and nature without them. Many children feel pressure to be a certain way in their parent’s eyes. Often such feelings of expectation can deflate a person’s self-confidence and my story is about how Lily overcomes those feelings.
In the image below I reveal that Lily goes into space where she discovers all the answers to who she is, and where she wants to go. In my next newsletter, I will unveil some of the main cast and introduce you more to Lily’s universe. If you enjoyed this and want to learn more about Lily please subscribe! Thanks, for taking a look, and I hope to see you next time! -Bob Thibeault (Tea Bow)
