Podcast Update
This week I’m diving into research for a 77-episode series of podcast episodes. I’m rather excited to have a direction for the podcast again.  If you can’t tell by the number, this is going to be a series about each county in Oklahoma. The goal is to do a full regular podcast episode and a 1-minute video short about each county. They will be part geographical, part historical, and hopefully will teach you a little more about our state. I thought about going alphabetically, but I’m toying with the idea about doing it regionally by “country”.  I’ll know more later. So watch for news about #project77 over at Mastodon.
Discord Discontinued
I dropped the Blog Oklahoma Discord channel last week. There just wasn’t enough interest in it to keep it going. You have to try new things to see what works and what doesn’t. Discord, though useful for some communities, not so much for our small corner of the webs. On to try the next thing.
Go Vote
Just a reminder. Go vote on Tuesday, August 23rd. It’s the Oklahoma Primary Runoff. The polls are open between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. State wide offices and local bond issues are on the ballot. Please go vote.
Roll for Movie
Have you had a Roll for Movie night yet? After all that hype last week, Donna and I still haven’t. We’ve been watching The Sandman on Netflix. We’re almost done with it, I think we’re about to episode 8.  It’s been really good so far. If you’re watching it, let us know.
More later. Time to hit the books.
News
The news has been rather depressing lately. So how about this week I make an attempt to bring you some good or inspirational news.

Endless Drinking Skeleton 💀 DIY Halloween Props
Time to start thinking about those Halloween props. This is a good one, but for Oklahoma I would suggest a cowboy drinking a beer instead of a pirate.

This one is for all you roughnecks who need something to help them sleep. I actually left this running in a tab for over an hour and my brain just filtered it out. When I shut it off my office got eerily quite.
