Getting into the habit of saying ‘no’ makes you much more aware of how you’re spending your time and how you want to spend your time.
No one gets more than twenty-four hours a day, and it’s up to you how you choose to use those hours.
Start by working out your life priorities.
If you want to spend every waking hour in the office, then that’s fine. But most of us want to find a balance between work, family, friends, and self-care.
If you decide to refuse the occasional invitation to dinner or a lunch date, you’ll be surprised how much time you can free up.
Time to spend
- Having a spa treatment,
- Maybe learning a new skill,
- Joining a sports team.
Even better, quarantining some you time in your schedule will mean you feel less overwhelmed by all the things you “have” to do, and so put you back in control of your life.
