Welcome to the new Bell & Basket–we made it happen!
It’s taken a lot of re-formatting, coding, writing and finagling, but it’s finally done. And boy does it feel good.
So what’s new to the site?
We’re not only doing video. It was a major time suck and we just couldn’t post as much as we wanted. So now we’re incorporating a mix of photo posts, our brand new newsletter, the occasional video and a lot more recipes.
Oh, and did you notice our new logo?
My amazingly talented friend and artist Abbie Zuidema created the look especially for B&B. She says, “Much of my work is about tapping into the nostalgia of childhood that we can’t describe with language. Food, smell, taste… they’re intangible, but it’s what I’m after.” And boy, has she captured our vision. To read more about the logo design process, check out the full post here
Make sure to follow us on Instagram, like our Facebook page, comment on posts and share our newsletter (if you like it)!
Looking forward to another joyful year in cooking, baking and coming together.

Crops Rot While Trump-Led Immigration Backlash Idles Farm Work - Bloomberg
The death of meaningful U.S. immigration reform, done in by Washington partisanship and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s incendiary comments on foreigners, is leaving crops withering in the field and the farm lobby with nowhere to turn as a labor shortage intensifies.
My New Roots + Jessica Murnane + Julia Turshen | The William Vale
I love supporting great women in food. And who doesn’t love Julia Turshen? Maybe I’ll even learn something about writing my own cook book one day… Let me know if you want to join, tickets are still available (and only $21).
