Hi all, this newsletter arrives in your mailboxes while I’m travelling around Scotland. Have fun!

Weekly Exercise to Boost Your Career
Looking back on your career 20 years from now, what do you want to say you’ve accomplished? In an interview, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner said that he often asks prospective employees the above question and there are many people who don’t have the answer to the question. So here’s your chance to answer it. What would you include on your list of hoped-for achievements?
Warren Buffett's Focus Exercise
It comes as no surprise that Warren Buffett would have a simple but powerful method to master priorities.
Go through a 3-step exercise. Here’s how it works:
STEP 1: Write down your top 25 career goals (or goals for this year, this week)
STEP 2: review the list and circle your top 5 goals.
STEP 3: At this point, you have two lists. The 5 items circled in List A and the 20 items not circled in List B. You want to start working on the top 5 goals right away. But what about the ones we didn’t circle? Buffett explains “Everything you didn’t circle just became your Avoid-At-All-Cost list. No matter what, these things get no attention from you until you’ve succeeded with your top 5.”
What do you think about this exercise?
Who Do People Spend Their Lives With? It seems Alone is the answer here. By all means, try to maximize the number of social interactions in your lives!

Quote I Love
It’s the mark of a charlatan to explain simple things in complicated ways, and the mark of a genius to explain complicated things in simple ways.
Could you explain what you do at work to an 11 year old child? Give it a try! Remember, they are 11, not 3.
