Facebook Participation Survey - 6 Month Review
Last August, members of our private Facebook group participated in a survey offering us feedback on how to make our community safer for everyone within it. We learned a lot from the results, and our Barista Hustle Universe Community Guidelines were just one of the things born from it. In our continued pursuit to better our community, we’re releasing the survey again to track our progress so far.
If you’re apart of our Facebook group (anyone can join!), check out and take the survey here. We’d really appreciate it!

Research: Men Get Credit for Voicing Ideas, but Not Problems. Women Don’t Get Credit for Either
• There are a lot of things to pair your coffee with, including good hip hop on vinyl.
• Eventually, robots will be able to read and interpret complex human gestures — what will that mean for automated customer service in the future?
• Which begs the question, is your favorite barista about to be replaced by a robot?
• Super cool percolation magic interactive. If only we had a tool that could maybe improve or promote even percolation of water through a coffee puck… 🤔
• The economy simply doesn’t need the number of people it currently employs with the technology we already have available.
• Surfactants reduce surface tension, thereby making foams more stable. If you want to know more about crema or microfoam, home barista and professor, Steven Abbott can provide.
Superb April Superlatives
The Brazilian ‘Methode Beaujolais’ Yellow Bourbon roasted by Cafe Lomi is in the air and on its way to Superlative subscribers all over the world. We can’t wait to hear your feedback on it!
Melbourne-based roaster, Small Batch Roasting Co is coming back with a super delicious La Bohemia Geisha from Raquel Lasso in Colombia!! We’re sure this one will sell out, so secure yourself a bag now!
See You in 2 Weeks!
We’ll have a bunch of fun stories from MICE to share. Until then, keep those portafilters clean, hot and dry!

To the boundaries of coffee,
