Athens

The personalized insider newsletter for all things startup in Athens.

👋 Hello hello Athens,
I know it’s been a while since you have received this in your inbox (or have never received it before), but I can happily announce that *drum roll* Startup Digest Athens is back! With that being said, let me first of all, introduce myself.
My name is Paul Hourlias and as you can tell, I am your curator for Startup Digest Athens. I’ve always been passionate about innovation, startups, anything regarding tech and at the moment you will find me at Found.ation as an Innovation Projects Specialist. You can find out more about me, if interested.
For newcomers, Startup Digest Athens will be landing in your inbox every other Monday and will deliver all upcoming events in the startup/web/tech community along with insights and resources from the Greek startup ecosystem. I will also feature a Greek startup in every issue.
In this issue, you will find some very exciting events and meetups happening as well as an up-and-coming FinTech startup revolutionizing credit, based in Athens.
Enjoy your week and see you in the next one,
Paul

🚀 Today's Featured Startup
This issue’s featured startup is all about making use of FinTech and the innovation of Open-Banking. Finloup is a fresh, BNPL startup (Buy Now Pay Later) that allows users to split costs into 4 interest-free payments, thus helping merchants get more customers at the point-of-sale.
You can think of Finloup as a payment option that helps consumers spend what they can when they can, and without charging any hidden fees. Merchants are also benefited from Finloup’s technology as it allows a large number of people to buy in instalments, without taking a loan from their bank. With its Open Banking technology, Finloup can assure consumer affordability, by using real-time and up-to-date financial information, so everyone is happy!
If you’re interested in finding more information, meeting the team, or trying out a demo, do visit their website. Oh, and they are also hiring for new team members looking to join them in their journey to interest-free instalment plans.
