Newsletter of AppForce1 - Issue #12

What a week. If you have listened to my episode already, you have heard about my epic journey back home. It basically involved a canceled flight and lots of waiting.
Swift Heroes was a good way to get back into in-person events again. It was a nice venue, a couple of great speakers and especially a number of people I have never met in person before.
Being at an in-person conference again did take a lot more energy than I expected. I was pretty much done for each evening at about 21:00 in the evening. I was with 3 colleagues and unanimously we opted to go back to the hotel and sleep each night after we’d finished our dinner. Meals that we did take plenty of time though. I also made sure to go out for coffee with a number of people. I think that was the best part of the whole experience. Meeting like-minded people, hearing how they did in the past two years, and looking to the future together.
One thing though, my podcast and newsletter took a backseat a bit in the last week. Just too much going on. I do want to evaluate my podcasting soon. I enjoy it, but I think there are areas where I can optimize things a bit more. Some things I should get better at and make sure I get more done with less effort. If only I would get more sponsorships going so I could hire an editor. Maybe that should be my next goal. Reach a state where I can offload the mundane parts of creating a podcast.
Also, have a look at a couple of conferences I am looking forward to at the bottom of this message.
Keep on listening, I will keep on podcasting. :)
Best,
Jeroen
