Greetings, Konnichiwa, and Hola!!!
We pledged this month to make relatively fewer excuses in our day to day life. Often with busy schedules and unlimited distractions, we forget to do things that matter most to our inner peace and prosperity. We fail to nourish our mind, soul, and body, and give an excuse for delaying them. How to resolve this and give ourselves some time away from the digital empire?
A simple technique I have adopted is working in my favor, and I would like to share it with you all.
Give your excuses a ranking. If your excuse benefits you, increase its ranking, otherwise decrease it.
Next time you want to make a decision based on an excuse, look up this list, it’ll be much easier to decide what should be your next task. Using this simple technique I was able to accomplish much over the last 15 days.
  1. I set up a morning routine and follow it with utmost determination. Meditation, Skincare, Eyecare, all of this comes under this category. Once I finish my morning routine, I feel less stressed, get more energy to tackle the tasks ahead of me.
  2. Nothing beats the benefits of improving your knowledge, whether it is a skill that you acquire or a technique that you practice. Reading a novel every week has helped me focus better, learn new things, access content which I otherwise thought would be impossible,
  3. An evening routine to unwind and relax. After a day well spent, we surely deserve a 15 minutes break. This break has to be free from any form of distractions, and it should also be free from any excuse. After all, if you don’t give yourself some time to relax, who else would?
By ranking my excuses and consistently practicing no excuse mantra, July has been a month worth living to me. Here is my reminder to make the rest of your month incredible too. Have a great second half, and I will see you all in August :)
