Big week. Apple on Tuesday held its big fall event at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco. Historically this has been Apple’s moment to showcase its bevy of new products for the holiday gift-giving season. And since the introduction of the iPhone 4s in October 2013, each fall has also seen the introduction of a new iPhone model.
This year was no exception.
We got the iPhone 7 and more, including a second-generation Apple Watch “Series 2”, and some newfangled wireless earbuds called AirPods. (Yes, Apple took away the headphone jack in iPhone 7. Trust me, we’ll survive.) And we also heard about collaboration features in the iWork suite of productivity apps.
But the one item you wouldn’t have found on anyone’s bingo card prior to the event? Mario – yes, your favorite video game plumber and mine – is finally coming to iOS. Super Mario Run arrives this December. I can’t wait.
So that’s the short version! Dive into the details with my collection of links for this week. Thanks for reading.
