On Monday my wife and I got to go out and see Rogue One
with her siblings and their spouses (as well as my older nephews) and our collective feelings about the movie were more than positive.
I loved Rogue One! Felt like Star Wars without milking the franchise.
And it’s true. The film was both Star Wars and something new, all at the same time.
I’m sure most already know this, but sadly, the next day we learned that actress Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) had passed. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, would herself pass on just the next day. While we’ll get to enjoy Carrie Fisher’s performance as General Organa in Episode VIII next December, I’m sure it will be bittersweet at best.
