This week I’ve been plowing through Douglas Preston’s The Lost City of the Monkey God. (I first heard it recommended on the What Should I Read Next? podcast, which Julie really likes and I’ve come to enjoy as well.)
The book is a fascinating true story about several expeditions that trekked into the Honduran jungle to unmask a fabled lost city called Ciudad Blanca, or the “White City.” It’s excellent, and without spoiling anything, I’ll put it like this — the book is much more than I expected. Definitely a solid read.
See you next week!
