Taking a month off from office work (December 2021)
Taking a much-needed break from hustling so hard this year.
I didn’t get the opportunity to plan a proper vacation for the last three years, including Covid time(due to other priorities), which started to affect my work. It’s just general tiredness that creeps in your daily hustle. Slowly but surely.
Glad I realised it “sooner rather than later”.
Hence this planned month off. (Nope. I’m not travelling either)
Last Friday, before I finished work, my boss told me, “When working on a fast-paced day to day work like yours, it takes at least a week to stop thinking about work and feel like you’re on real vacation”. Of course, he is right!
So what’s next?
From Monday, there will be no more “fast-paced” work, meetings (virtual or in-person) and multiple daily decisions.
Will I miss those? Yes (at the beginning)
Will they miss me? No
So eagerly, looking forward to a “blank” December 2021 with lots of “Me Time”. Hope to come back refreshed for work in January'22
