Today I want to share an article on the dilemma when a new owner wants a short term rental agency to assist. But confuses their role and that of the agency. 
It’s like having two main chefs in the kitchen. It’s a proper stuff up. 
We are very fortunate to have great owners allowing us to do what we do. 
But sometimes, a new owner jumps the fence. And needs reigning in. 
Value Is A Design
The second article is on designing for value by Thomas Oosthuizen. The author does not mention Airbnb, but it mentions Booking.com. Airbnb has values and Booking.com tries to be the “best price”. 
The one flourishes while the other stagnates. I mentioned we our brand design is to be the best. And not the biggest or cheapest Airbnb agency. Our focus is customer-centricity; a positive customer experience in order to drive profit.
The author says,
Brand portals like Booking.com, Expedia … make it even worse online, as they focus on the best price rather than the best brand.
