The Dandizette is a newsletter by Yolanda Shoshana with a little bit of everything. Live life though your senses as you level up!

As I sit sipping my café con leche, my mind is on the concept of mindfulness. It’s something that has been pushed hard during this time. Some of you are thinking “but haven’t I felt enough…how much more can I take” ?
If you are thinking f*ck mindfulness, let’s look at it another way. It doesn’t have to be about stopping, dropping, and meditating. I do recommend a little bit of that because it helps get in touch with your intuition.
Mindfulness can be about things that bring you peace such as cooking, baking, a nice long walk listening to your favorite songs, dancing around the house.. I think you get what I mean.
What things can you do this week that can bring you a dose of happiness? No matter how big or small, just do it. My dose of joy came from going to a cookie class with Iesha Williams, the creatrix of The Salty Heifer. A little something for my senses, palate, and belly. Just like that. You too can make mindfulness simply.
It’s easy to find time and energy for mindfulness when you add your own personal touch to it. Above all else, be good to yourself.

In the crypt:
*Coinbase, a popular cryptocurrency platform, is going to go public and it’s being valued at $100 billion dollars. While crypto may not be your jam, this stock could bring some serious cha-ching. You just may want to add it to your portfolio.

*What in the NFT? The hottest thing poppin’ right now are the NFTs. Everybody wants their own to cash in on the hype. NFT stands for Non-fungible token. They are unique and can’t be replaced with something else. Anything digital can technically be a NFT…and I do mean anything. Start creating.

*International Whisk(e)y Day, March 27th, was launched in 2009 at the Whiskey Day Festival in the northern Netherlands in the presence of several whiskey writers. The day honors the whisk(e)y writer Michael Jackson. I’m not sure if I’ll opt for bourbon or Scotch on the day. All I know is a dram will be my jam!

*India has some interesting things going on when it comes to spirits. If you like their gin game, you are gonna love what they are doing in whisky. You will probably start to see more of India’s whisky available on the shelves. Get ready.

To watch:
*Promising Young Women made Oscar history by receiving 5 nominations: picture, editing and actress (Mulligan’s second run at the award), as well as original screenplay and director for Emerald Fennell. I saw it at a screening at Soho House and absolutely loved it. There should be more dark comedy led by women. Hopefully this starts a new trend. I reviewed the movie o3nn my podcast, Crimes, Killers, & Chianti. No spoilers and comes with a wine pairing.
