Woolly Rebellion - Issue #31
By Katharine • Issue #31 • View online
Hi Crafters,
How are you? Things are starting to slowly open up here in the UK. Vaccinations seem to be rolling out at quite a pace, between 200 and 500 thousand people every day, and children started going back to school today.
I’m not sure how I feel about things opening up again. I feel like I still haven’t figured out what “normal” things I want back, and which other things I’d like to stay different.
Anyway… in craftier news, I seem to be blighted by tricky projects. The Modernist cardigan that I’ve been trying to knit for at least a year is still refusing to be acceptable. I think I might have to start it for the third time.
I was lacking knitting inspiration, which I took as a sign that I should finally start a Star Trek cross stitch project using the book Pip got me for my birthday last summer. It started off really well, then I stitched an entire section in the wrong place and have a lot of unpicking to do. I feel like the world is telling me to stop trying to create things at the moment.
How are your projects treating you?
I’m a knitter and a nerd. Find me on Instagram as KnittedByNails, and my favourite crafty supplies are for sale on Etsy and in the Woolly Rebellion shop.
