📰 What is Knitflixing? Woolly Rebellion - Issue #45

Hi Crafters,
Knitflixing has been a regular feature in this newsletter since the very beginning. It’s where I share what I’m watching or listening to while crafting.
The word is simply a mashup of knitting and Netflix. Urban dictionary says this of Knitflixing (along with some unhelpful stuff that implies only old ladies in nursing homes knit).
(Verb) the act of working on a knitting project while watching a streaming video from an online provider like Netflix, Amazon or Hulu.
“I got two movies worth of my sweater done last night while I was knitflixing.”
Having something to keep my mind busy while my hands do magic is a key component in my making process. Is it the same for you?
I love getting your recommendations for TV shows, films and podcasts. So keep me in the loop about your knitflixing.
I’m Katharine and I’m a knitter and a nerd. Find me on Instagram as KnittedByNails, and my favourite crafty supplies are for sale in the Woolly Rebellion shop.

Big news! I’m planning a Kickstarter campaign.
It’s the coming together of two goals for me.
  1. Adding a new yarn to the Woolly Rebellion shop - namely, West Yorkshire Spinners ColourLab DK.
  2. Knitting a temperature blanket in 2022.
The ideas is that you can take part in a Make-a-long throughout 2022, and we’ll all make a temperature blanket in 6 shades of ColourLab DK, going from a cool teal colour, through to a warm red.
You might have seen me talk about this on Instagram earlier in the week. I would absolutely LOVE to get your thoughts and feedback. So have a watch and then hit reply to this email.
If you think you might be interested in getting some of the yarn, or taking part in a temperature blanket make-a-long (MAL), follow my project on Kickstarter and you’ll be notified as soon as it goes live!

End Notes
I would love to hear about what you’ve been watching and listening to while you craft.
It would also mean a lot to get your thoughts on the Kickstarter project before I make it live next week. You can always get in touch via emailTwitter or Instagram.
Until next time…
Take care and happy crafting!
Katharine :)
