📰 How do you feel about making things for other people?

Hi Crafters,

So far October has been about knitting commissions for me. I finished a waistcoat in the early hours of Wednesday morning for a customer at Hungerford market and now I’m working on one of my London Underground scarves for an Etsy customer.

I know a lot of knitters wouldn’t want to sell what they make, but I love knitting things that I know people really want. And if they’re willing to part with their cash, I know they want it!

How do you feel about making things for other people?

This Saturday

It’s another Indie Roller community shopping event on Saturday 16th October. This means I’m going to have a couple of bargain bundles up for grabs in the Woolly Rebellion shop.

Yorkshire Yarn Fest, In Person | 30th October.

Yorkshire yarn fest has kept us going through the pandemic with regular virtual events on Instagram, but it’s back in person at the end of this month. Check out the vendors. I won’t be there as it’s a bit far for me during a fuel crisis, but I’ll be tuning into a virtual Yorkshire Yarn fest the day after, on 31st October, via Instagram.

“The 7th Rule” is a Star Trek podcast, starring Deep Space Nine‘s Aron Eisenberg (Nog) and Cirroc Lofton (Jake Sisko)!

I’ve been watching the occasional episode for a long time, but recently I’ve been really binging their content. I especially love their reviews of the latest Lower Decks episodes.
