The goal of my research at the SickKids
Goldenberg Lab has expanded. I am creating a tool to quickly gather patient data from cell images and speed up the diagnostic process, but previously the system was meant to work on only one image type. Now my aim is to create a
fully generalizable system that will work with different image types. This change is pushing the project to a
whole new level, enabling it’s
widespread use across different labs, hospitals and the globe. To achieve this, a great deal of data cleaning and labeling is being done. Over the past few weeks I have been speaking with SickKids researchers, gathering image data and learning how to use current tools to annotate/label these images. Soon, the data will be ready and the next step in training will begin. Check back next month to see my progress!
