AI Researcher & Entrepreneur

Hi there! My name is Shalev Lifshitz and I am a 16 year old Canadian, involved with recent innovations and striving to develop the future of technology. With a passion for Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning, I am currently working with the SickKids Goldenberg Lab and the Waterloo KIMIA Lab. My goal is to spark the next wave of human innovation and help our species along the road to a new evolutionary step.
I hope you enjoy my November Newsletter!

Speaking at South by Southwest
I will be speaking at South by Southwest in March, an annual conglomerate of film, innovation, technology and music festivals and conferences in Austin, Texas. This will be my biggest audience yet and I am excited to see where it will lead!
Paper Submission to IJCNN
After months of tireless work, KIMIA Lab collaborators and I are submitting our paper to the International Joint Conference on Neural Network (IJCNN) to introduce a new learning algorithm and Artificial Neural Network architecture . We will publish the preprint in early February on arXiv.
Fall 2018 Innovation Sprint Winners!
My team and I won the Fall 2018 Innovation Sprint at St. Josephs Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. We designed a solution for the Hospital’s Integrated Comprehensive Care (ICC) program and created In the LOOP, a dashboard system that connects all hospital stakeholders (patient, caregiver, nurses, etc) and allows for efficient information transfer and patient metric gathering. After weeks of hard work, we won the challenge and will be working with the hospital to implement our solution! Thank you Romi Lifshitz and Dr. Alvin Chin for being such amazing teammates!
