Are we the only intelligent life in the universe?
This question has been asked since the beginning of human civilization. Yet, for the first time, it is evolving into a possible scenario:
What if we artificially created intelligent life?
At the
South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, I spoke about my research developing a new AI algorithm that acts more like the human brain. I showcased how this research contributes to achieving Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and what we must do to prepare for an intelligent future.
Most importantly, we have to ask the right questions: What changes will this transformation bring? When might we reach human-level AI, what will it look like, and what can we do to prepare? Will humans remain the only intelligent species?
