The best of the web, straight to your inbox.

Lately Pieter’s Post was like cold pizza. With everything being closed I lost my mojo for a while. There was not much to draw inspiration from. But it’s time to get back into it. Time to start serving up the hot pizza that you deserve 🍕
How are you holding up these days? Reply to this email, I’d love to know.
What I’m reading

What I’m watching
For Sama ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Gut wrenching documentary which will leave you in tears and praying for a world without war.
The Queens Gambit ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - The Queen’s Gambit is a story about an orphan that follows her rocky life as a chess prodigy.

What I’m listening to
Succession Season 2 OST - Soundtrack of the great HBO Show Succession which serves as good music for concentrating.
Ben Böhmer - Promise You Deep melancholic house track for an evening walk through an empty city .
Hudson Mohawke - Black Cherry The soundtrack to my future showreel

Quote I’m Pondering
My whole system of life is keeping at it. The task of life is not to see clearly in the distance but to do the task at hand” — Charlie Munger

What I’m working on
  • Gave my personal website pieterboerboom.nl a visual upgrade
  • As a recovering productivity software junkie I’ve stopped using 6 apps in the last year. I’ve updated my uses page with the software and tools I still enjoy using. I’m curious to hear what software or hardware makes your live better!
  • Working for clients on web development and online marketing. Meanwhile polishing my company website Westvoss.

What I found on the web
Twitter Thread - In 2016 I was cast on a reality dance competition show for influencers. “It’s apparent that they only cast me based off the number of followers I had, without researching who I was— because when I showed up for filming, the producers were extremely upset.”
“Matt once got into an argument with another employee so fierce that the off-duty cop who was doing security had to break them up all because Matt had established that 50 Cent’s "Get Rich or Die Trying” movie was based on Hamlet (it wasn’t)“
