Pieter's Post
Hello… and welcome back to Pieter’s Post!

What I'm doing
Since a couple of weeks I’m posting what I’m working on on my WIP page . It’s a small community of makers holding eachother accountable for creating or doing something each day. It feels like a combo of Twitter and Instagram in the early days. But more chill, without everyone meassuring their e-penis. It’s also fun to scroll back and see what you’ve done in the last weeks as you tend to forget quickly. I like the idea of small check-ins in public while at the same time creating a sort of lifelog. Following along or send me a message for an invite for WIP!
The first project I’m building is a clone of the WIP website itself (very meta I know). I’ve always wanted to learn how to build a web app from start to finish (so user authentication, likes, comments, a database, payments, profile pages, settings etc…) so cloning an existing one seemed like a good place to start. Ofcourse I’ve underestimated how much time it would take… but I’m making progress and you can following along at the WIP page of the project.

What is money? Aristotle’s definition of money was surprising and obvious when I first read it: “Money is a guarantee that we may have what we want in the future. Though we need nothing at the moment it insures the possibility of satisfying a new desire when it arises.“ — Aristotle, The Nicomachean Ethics, v, c. 340 B.C.
