Word gets around. And not just because people talk. They watch. The talent base in every community – large, small, urban, rural, remote, on-site – is comprised of people who are beginning to realize the value of their own sense of accountability and expect nothing less from their employers. This is a significant opportunity for organizations who break free from command-and-control mindsets that limit agility, force incorrect values on employees, and contain performance. Managers who open doors will find that workers want to enter and stay.
