Despite some people adamantly insisting that it doesn’t matter, being first does. You can disagree but there’s science to back it up. In neuropsychology, there’s a concept called the primacy bias. Basically, it means that people tend to log the first information they get far more efficiently than the rest of the information. Its a fairly simple concept but is extremely powerful in its application. This translates to a critical piece: be first. The first person not only sticks in the mind the best and is more often recalled, but they also set the buying criteria that gets used as a measuring stick against competitors.
