Culture of Basketball Round Up - Issue #8
This past month had extreme highs surrounding the Culture of Basketball; from preparing for a Raptors team expansion to the WNBA play-offs, this month, once again, has been jam-packed with all things basketball! (You gotta love it!) Adding onto last month, there is still serious conversation going on around a WNBA expansion potentially heading toward Toronto, Paying tribute to one of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball, Kobe Bryant, on Kobe Bryant day, (August 24th), and more news on Brittney Griner’s return.
We also want to give a huge shout out to the queen of basketball, (she earned that title) Sue Bird, and congratulate her on her retirement as she wraps up her last season with the Seattle Storm, and an extremely successful WNBA career. It is important to recognize all she has done for the basketball community, but most of all influence boys and girls of all ages across the world, hoping to live their dream of becoming a basketball player just like her.
