Welcome to issue 14… Another week of top content which you can find below, along with links to our sponsors and our website.

I need a hero… im holding out for a hero till the end of the night…
So, another week with the Reds. A dreaded trip to Old Trafford was gonna be the final nail in our Top 4 charge, especially with Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips at the heart of our defence. Its safe to say that a lot of our fanbase were not optimistic going into the game, even a lot of our famous top reds were starting to falter. More protests, tyres let down on the bus. it was just going to be a long, slow night at the hands of the great Manchester United. Except it wasnt. Because this team still has a bit of balls about them. And after a dodgy start, and an OG by Nat Phillips, we smashed them. We put the foot on their throat and we smashed them. Excellent. And that win gives us clarity for the rest of the season. 3 games to go and its in our own hands.
Just beat West Brom first. Big Sams West Brom. And whats that you say, Jota out for the rest of the season?
And like that we go behind. The inexperience at CB shown as Hal Robson-Kanu scored in his first PL start in 3 and a half years (of course he does!!!). But an excellent equalizer by Mo and Bobby hitting the post sees us finishing the half strong. But we know how this dance goes, the longer you go against these teams without putting them away the harder it gets. A rightly disallowed goal for WBA showed how easy a game can slip away from you. And this looked to the case as chance after chance was missed. A 94th minute corner wasnt exactly filling me with excitement, and the sight of Alisson coming up was giving me more “Hope doesn’t get caught on the counter” type vibes than anything else.
And then…
And. Then….
Its not only that Ali scored a 95th minute winner to keep us in the hunt for top 4. But the header, as good as any you will see. Placed in the far corner. Amazing. The first real burst of emotion since we won the league. The interview afterwards, riddled with class and emotion. Its what we are all in it for. Football without emotion is just like training or exhibition games. This was a glimpse of what we’ve been starved of as fans, and its exactly the type of bolt of electricity we need to get us over the line. Bring on your Burnley and your Crystal Palace, This team look to be getting the bit between their teeth just in time…
Bonnie Tyler was holding out for a Hero, but on a rainy day at the Hawthorns, we got ours…
And he was strong, and he was fast
And you can bet your life he was fresh for the fight….
