SOTA/POTA Activation’s in VT & NY

View of the Fort from my window...what a tease
View of the Fort from my window...what a tease
I arrived in Portland, Maine yesterday ready to kayak with my friend Justin who is the SME on ocean kayaking and we both mutually agreed the high winds would make for a poor trip out to Fort Gorges.
It’s unfortunate, but safety is always #1.
I’m now heading south back to the mid-Atlantic and have some time so I figured I would stop in VT and NY to do some new SOTA/POTA activation’s.
This trip is totally on the fly and in an area I have never traveled to before so watch Twitter and my InReach for my current tracks/location.

Details:
Date: August 15th, 2019
Time: 10:00am EST

Date: August 16th- 18th, 2019
Possible POTA Sites:
K-4527 Green Mountain
K-5555 Mount Mansfield
K-5635 Mount Greylock
Time: TBD
*If you any suggestions on summits or cool places to visit while in the above areas, drop me an email.
I will have my InReach and as always you can follow me in real time and watch me climb up the summits.
I will also try to update my Twitter account as the week goes on.
On a side note, I stopped in Biddford, Maine at Hyperlite Mountain Gear and picked up a new UL backpack. The guys at HMG were super helpful and I now have a new pack to try out on the trails.
