It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? Since my last newsletter:
I left TikTok in 4 months (made a video on it!)
- I got a new job
- I ‘inherited’ a car
- I bought a new home
Upon reflection, it’s really interesting to see the difference between how I’m feeling now, versus my time at TikTok, and even at Google. I’m far more engaged in every other aspect of my life. I’m in a much better space both mentally and physically and am feeling SO much lighter.
Hence, I finally had the headspace to focus on both my creative activities, health and fitness. I’m happy to report that I’m already seeing exponentially positive results in both areas - my videos are doing decently well, and I’m already reaching my performances and fat loss goals at the gym!
My main learning from this experience? Don’t underestimate or ignore your unhappiness in any one area of your life - because it easily permeates and heavily affect other aspects without you even really knowing. Trust me, it’s all interconnected.
Be sure to always do frequent check ins with yourself to see if you’re doing alright. Ask questions, and reflect. The better you know yourself, the easier you can identify the root cause, and nip the problem in the bud and find a way to solve the problem.
I’ve always found it really hard to find a balance the between my side hustle, work and my health. But after my prior experiences
of juggling these over the past 2- 3 years (and going through the whole cycle of burn out etc) - I’ve finally found a way to balance it all. At least in a way that works for me!
One of my priorities this year is to double down on creating YouTube videos to grow my audience. With this shifting priority, I’ve decided to reduce the cadence of this newsletter to make it a monthly edition instead of a bi-weekly one.
The content of each newsletter will be a little longer to ensure that I’m sharing everything I’ve learnt and produced this month - so think of this as a monthly digest of sorts that compiles all my content, curated for each and every one of you.
It’s taken a long time, but I can finally, confidently say that are finally starting to feel just right. So for those of you who have stuck with me throughout - thank you! I truly appreciate you for being here with me on this journey 💛
Till next month!
