Summer-born children: school admission
Guidance about school admissions for children born in the summer.
National Tutoring programme: guidance for schools 2022 to 2023
Information for school leaders on how to provide tuition for pupils through the National Tutoring programme in 2022 to 2023. School can now only use DFE-approved tutoring firms.
Government delivers landmark rises to teachers’ salaries
Teacher starting salaries to see 8.9% uplift in September this year, reaching £28,000
Protection of children’s biometric information in schools
Guidance for schools, sixth-form colleges, 16 to 19 academies and further education institutions wishing to use automated biometric recognition systems.
Updates from the STA:
In a recent email sent to schools, the STA announced that KS1 SATs are to be scrapped from 2023/2024. However, we cannot find any direct links to confirm this. Once we do, we will keep you updated.
