All things new, notable, and happening in Anchorage, AK!

Are you busily scheduling the next four months of adventures as you try to finish your spring cleaning? We are… not only did my husband make major progress cleaning our Room of Shame (read: full of junk we don’t want guests to see) our plans for summer fun are starting to shape up nicely!
My favorite stories from last week range from an overview of the Alaska Business Plan Competition to potential downtown development to a DIY for a modern hoop wreath (and more!).
Looking forward, K Street Eats opens on Wednesday, pottery lovers will line up as early as 6:30 AM on Friday for first pick of UAA student’s work, and cue the fancy hats and mint juleps: it’s time to Derby!
I hope you have a wonderful week!

Ice cream all summer long...
Good news, ice cream lovers! Wild Scoops is opening a summer shop on E Street between Fat Ptarmigan and Hard Rock next month. Stop by and give them a try, and if you missed it, listen to them on Alaska Public Radio: From tree to cream; how birch syrup makes its way to dessert bowls or read a blog I wrote last summer: Every scoop has a story.
