Games Industry Law Summit – what a blast!
By Sergei Klimov • Issue #79 • View online
Good morning from Vilnius Old Town!
Day One was a blast, and Day Two promises even more great content (and great food, too – we have 2 special things scheduled for today: an open cooking station and a selection of authentic Lithuanian deserts).
Quick updates below –>

Collectible Card Game
Some of you have been very active in trading, and half of the prize fund is gone already – hurry up! Prize Desk will be open near the PCR Test Point from 09:00 to lunchtime today. Bring 10 unique cards and claim any prize among those available.
Special guests at the award ceremony
It was great to see the Mayor of Vilnius and the General Manager of Invest Lithuania come to award the winners of this year’s Legal Challenge – if you’re at the Summit, perhaps find a moment to congratulate the teams as well? They have blue flags on their tables, and will appreciate the encouragement from industry veterans!
Weather update
We expect slight rain during lunch, but hopefully not before and not after. We will be serving espressos (ceramic cups) as well as ginger and mountain tea (both are without caffeine) throughout the panels on trays to keep you warm.
Getting slides for presentations
If you’re looking for specific slides, please connect to the presenter and ask directly. It’s a good way to start the conversation and ask additional questions + it gives the presenters an extra level of control over what’s released and what’s kept just for the event. The links are on the participant page.
Welcome, ADVANT Beiten!
Finally I was able to tear off a shirt on stage – thanks to the evolution of Beiten Burkhardt into ADVANT Beiten. We wish the firm a lot of success!
Also present at the Summit is another firm of the alliance, ADVANT Nctm. You can say Hi (or Ciao?) to Luca Guidobaldi and Lorenzo Attolico, who are here in Vilnius.
PCR Testing
PCR Test Point at Hotel PACAI is open 0800-1000 today.
Did you know that the nurse who works with us is a big video game fan? She said she plays a lot, along with her boyfriend. Let’s prove our worth by scoring only negative results!
Quick antigen tests
COVID-19 can evolve quickly (2-5 days for Delta) and show no symptoms on fully vaccinated people, so it’s extremely important that you test yourself every morning with the provided tests.
Please shout if you need more, we have extras!
Theoretically, if a person got infected in transit (Saturday last week to Tuesday this week), the first positive test could arrive today or tomorrow. So please, please be extra careful to protect your colleagues (and their families back home).
Happy birthday!
We wish great health in years to come to Christian Rauda! (great singing last night, everyone!)
If you are not attending
Here’s a snapshot of how the first day went:
Please stay safe, wear a mask, test yourself at the first signs of feeling unwell – and let’s make the second day even better!
