Fair Warning - Inflation, Carbon Labels, and Feathers

Hello! Bizarrely I tried to write Fair Warning last week but Revue had an outage so I couldn’t. :[
My American adventure has continued apace. You know how I was all “2022 is the year I try something new every month”? WELL… Moving kind of threw a spanner in the works but I am firmly back on track with: Yesterday, I did the most American thing I can think of… I fired some guns at a shooting range.
Some fun things to start this week:

On the home front
Why So Many Children of Immigrants Rise to the Top
The Housing Shortage Isn’t Just a Coastal Crisis Anymore
Health experts see rise in maternal mortality post-Roe
Over the pond
Would carbon food labels change the way you shop?
How the population changed where you live, Census 2021
Odds and ends
How Artists Get Paid From Streaming
A detailed map of the Viking expansion
That’s everything for this week, thanks so much for reading! You can get in touch with me @SophWarnes (note the handle change; now I can stop being annoyed when people call me Sophie) or by replying to this email.
Did you enjoy this issue?
