Fair Warning - Cutting carbon, animal rescues, and The Oscars

Hello!
I’ve been bingeing Call My Agent lately. If “French people screaming at each other in dramatic fashion” doesn’t sell it to you, then I don’t know what will. It’s very good, very funny, and it’s fun to see some famous French actors getting involved. I’m also learning creative ways to swear in another language, which is one of my favourite hobbies.
Some other things I have enjoyed:

The U.S. Will Need a Lot of Land for a Zero-Carbon Economy

Okay so I can’t link to the exact link I was sent, but my friend (and long-time FW reader) Colin sent me a link with the words “FERRET TRAPPED IN RADIATOR” and I obviously had to look. It was a write-up of this dataset from the London Fire Brigade about animal rescue incidents since 2009. It’s hard to pick a favourite but I am quite partial to “UNKNOWN SNAKE IN HOUSE”, “KITTEN WITH HEAD STUCK IN BONGO DRUMS”, and “SQUIRREL HANGING FROM GUTTERING”.
So far in 2021 (up to end of March), firefighters in London have rescued 145 animals including 76 cats, 31 birds, 20 dogs, and 9 foxes.
That’s all for this week, folks!
BTW I sometimes get really lovely emails from people about FW, but I am a terrible person and I always forget to reply. If you’ve emailed me, I have read it, and in all likelihood here is what happened: I started writing a reply, but then got distracted, and then when I realised I’d forgotten to email, enough time had gone by that it seemed ruder to reply late than not reply at all. Sorry.
