You’ll have to be pretty quick to catch our first choice this week, as it’s on Film 4 at 11.00 today.
1936’s My Man Godfrey sees a young socialite (Carlole Lambert) hire a vagrant (William Powell) as the butler to her rather eccentric family.
It’s a classic screwball comedy that doesn’t get shown very often.

It’s always great to see 1949’s Passport to Pimlico on the box and it does seem to have been quite a while.
It will be interesting to see whether it’s still possible to watch it without drawing parallels with the B-word.
