Why did they kill Morph in the first episode of X-Men the Animated Series? FIND OUT NOW!

Do you know who turned 39 on Monday? This guy.
I’m not telling you that to solicit a Happy Birthday.
I’m telling you this because I (briefly) died not long after turning 30.
So every year I get to celebrate since then is just awesome, you know? It’s like I’m playing the bonus round.
Anyway, I have twenty pages left of this manuscript to punch up. Once it’s done, we’ll move that bad boy into production, and I’ll get started on the Galaxy Quest / Metroid mashup comic I’ve been talking about on Twitter.
And then after that? Another book. A new podcast (“Vaped Crusaders”). And more more more.
I even started a professional wrestling newsletter that’s powered by artificial intelligence.
I watch professional wrestling for the same reason children LOVE the American version of The Office: There’s a rhythm and routine behind it that I like. You can just have it on in the background, and there’s always a new episode of something, whether it’s WWE or AEW or …
Sorry. I was starting to ramble about professional wrestling, and that’s not what you’re here for.
Looking For Your Next Read?
Man is this book spot on. Those opening chapters all feel like they were written last year. Deeply fascinating, and I LOVE David Rintoul’s narration.
But, a word of warning: I’m one of those people who associate the English accent with intelligence. This is despite the fact that I’m very aware of Boris Johnson’s existence, which completely contradicts the association. And yet …
This Week ... On WAYWO.TV!
Eric and Julia Lewald of X-Men: The Animated Series talk about the show's impact on pop culture.
Eric and Julia Lewald of X-Men: The Animated Series talk about the show's impact on pop culture.
If you’re a fan of the original X-Men cartoon, man do I have a treat for you this week. I am joined by Eric and Julia Lewald. Eric developed the X-Men cartoon for television and served as its showrunner. Julia was a writer for the series throughout its entire run. I hope you enjoy the interview.
I got to ask them something that’s been on my mind since 1992 …
Totally forgot. You can watch all the WAYWOs taped thus far over here on YouTube. I’m uploading a new one (almost) every day. That pace won’t last, so let’s enjoy it while we can!
Space Trip
I am working on a new pilot script called “Space Trip”. This is the “What if the aliens from Galaxy Quest were bad?” thing I’ve been mumbling about for like, a year.
I share this with you because, once I am done with the pilot, I’m going to get together with a team of comic book writers, and we’re going to do something cool.
We’re going to do a series of Writers Rooms that will be streamed live. For Free. All for your viewing and educational pleasure.
Also, I PROMISE you that nobody has ever said “educational pleasure” before. It’s never been done.
Until today. So … You’re welcome?
