1 community-favorite artist
Sarah Zucker @thesarahshow
Sarah Zucker is an artist and writer based in Los Angeles.
Her Art merges the gorgeous and grotesque through humor, psychedelia, mysticism, and the interplay of cutting edge & obsolete technologies.
She has been involved in Crypto Art since early 2019, tokenizing single and limited editions of her screen-based artwork on the blockchain.
In June 2021, her work was part of Natively Digital, the first curated NFT sale at Sotheby’s.
What’s the piece you’re the most proud of? Why?
I can’t choose a favorite artwork – that’s like asking a mother to choose her favorite child!
So I’ll speak to why I love my most recent piece, “The Light Witch.” It really reflects how much I’ve evolved my signature VideoPainting style over the years. It’s a self portrait of an alter ego of mine, who heeds the call to light up the darkness with rainbow visions.
I think it’s a lot of fun, and it’s very much in dialogue with my entire body of work. I’m always weaving feedback loops and visual callbacks into my art over time.

3 fun facts about you?
1. I am a Jeopardy! Champion.
2. I married my wife (the incredible animator Bronwyn Lundberg) in the redwoods while wearing a 6-foot-tall peacock headdress.
3.I love to cook – and love to cook for friends even more.
Who’s another NFT artist you admire?
I really admire my friend Edgar Fabian Frias. They blend animation, performance art, collage, witchcraft and pure joy into their singularly recognizable style.
