This week was a pivotal week as the Blavity team, Morgan DeBaun, Jeff Nelson, Jon Jackson & Aaron Samuels are developing new media platforms and creating a highly engaged community at a speed that I haven’t seen before.
The last 12 months have seen the company acquire content platforms such as Shadow and Act as well as Travel Noire, a travel and discovery platform for black millennials. Just this week, they held the biggest tech conference for POC in tech called AfroTech.
Next year, WE gotta be there!
Just a reminder, this week I will be moderating a Music Tech event by Mixtape Madness and Tech Hub, you can sign up HERE.
On November 29th a few friends and I are hosting a Fireside chat with Andy Chung, AngelList. Tickets are sold out but you can join the waiting list HERE. We will be holding more VC Fireside chats in the future so don’t worry if you don’t make this one.
