I’ve spoken to 9 startup founders across London in the last few weeks and asked each of them: “Beyond the public image what is the one thing you are f*!$%? up most at.” Over half the founders were worried most about tech.
As in does the tech do what is says on the tin? Nope! Some of these founders were non-technical founders but they all shared that hiring engineers was very hard. For three reasons specifically:
a) Writing an awesome job spec
b) Interviewing and assessing engineers when you don’t have an engineering background
c) Working with engineers for the first time
My latest project www.Twiiged.io has been set up to help answer these questions. These issues though serve part of a broader set of strategic questions.
