This week I attended the Diversity VC event on the lack of women in tech (you can read my summary HERE). No real surprises, only 13% of decision makers in UK Venture Capital are women.

Remember Diversity crosses over race, background, personality and gender. With less than 1% of black-owned startups backed by VC’s there is clearly a funding gap that needs to be addressed. This could get more difficult with Brexit on the horizon as the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) helped provide up to £2bn to UK VC’s has been frozen and could stop!
