Saying No
A good friend of mine, David McQueen shared that there are two things he can’t complain about working from home:
  1. We have a job
  2. We have a home
So simple, yet true.
A lesson I have learned already this year is that it is important to say no to new opportunities in order to protect your mental wellness, personal & family time and t ensure your energy is focused and not spread thin across many opportunities.
I realised I found it hard to say no, especially when it was mission-aligned work or an opportunity for me to give back. I’m not yet perfect but its been liberating learning to say no.
Have a productive week!
