Hair Therapy
Last Thursday, I can’t describe the feeling of switching off from the world for hours on end and enjoying my hair getting re-twisted. As I write this, I recognise I should probably update my headshot up above as I feel I look sooo different from that baby face 😃.
Honestly, one of the things I do love about attending the hair saloon is that I have no choice but to switch off, be patient and enjoy the process. I think its healthy to take gaps during our busy working days (and in life in general). But it’s very hard to do in reality as there is always one more thing you could do on your to do list.
If you honestly feel you don’t take enough breaks during your day to switch off, try penciling it in your calendar like a meeting. Switch off and go for a walk, take a nap, meditate, watch trash-TV. Grant yourself permission to switch off!
PS. ……. In other news, I joined the Board of an ambitious culture, data and storytelling marketing company called Translate Culture.
PPS. …… If we have all this stimulus introduced due to COVID from Furlough through to discounted restaurants or Bounce Back loans, what taxes do you think will be introduced in the next 2 years to pay this all back? 🤔
Have a productive week!
