Over the last two weeks, I’ve been reviewing my journal entries for the last 5 months. This exercise helped me connect the following dots:
  1. No such thing as a niche. Nurture long term relationships, invest in long term learning, pick a “niche” and deliver quality consistently long term.
  2. Three podcast interviews brought out a different side of my story: She’s Obsessed, Stories that Stick and Peacocks x Pancakes.
  3. It has made me so humbled and grateful that I am financially abundant, have a job, my family is healthy, we have a home and we have a unique opportunity to spend such rich time together creating new memories.
Proud last week to publish the first of eight episodes for Season 2 of my podcast hosted with Nana Parry, Founders Clinic sponsored by Balsamiq. In this episode we caught up with Marlon Nicholls from MaC Ventures.
Top 3 Takeaways:
  1. The influence of growing up and visiting Jamaica and how culture shapes Marlon’s investing thesis today
  2. Key things to look for in spotting exceptional talent in founding teams
  3. The story of how Cross Culture Ventures merged with another VC to become MaC Ventures

Have a productive week.
