Last week, I realised that TV shows were teaching my daughter American English when she pronounced “Hippopotamus.” I laughed before correcting her before it became a habit (hehe).
A piece of advice I shared with a founder who felt guilty for not working long hours was that, “The opportunity cost of overcompensating and working long hours can lead to making poor decisions on low energy.”
I have been very conscious about being very present at home but creating intentional pockets to be productive and do deep work.
So here was a day looked like for me last week:
5am: 🛌🏿 Wake up, pray, eat, review journal & calendar.
5.30 - 7: 👔Work
7 - 9: 👨🏾‍🍼Wake up routine with the family
9 - 10.30: 💻Work
10:30 - 13:00: 🧮🚶🏿🍱Homeschooling for lil miss trouble + take a family walk around the village + lunch
13:00 - 17:30: 💼Work
17:30 - 21:00: 👪Family time
21.30/ 22:00 : 😴Bedtime
Reply and let me know how you have adapted your daily schedule.
Have a productive week.
