They told me in mid-June that I would have a long wait. Like a years-long wait. Then I got a text on Friday saying “we’re almost ready for you,” and I panicked. That’s not a metaphor: I actually had a panic attack. Now I have an unbelievably excruciating hemiplegic migraine. Triggered by extreme stress. I have to move — and I’m moving so much sooner than I’d expected. I’m not even packed yet.
