We recently participated in the launch of an accelerator report by the
Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs. They have conducted tremendous research aimed to present actionable insights for accelerator program managers, entrepreneurs, funders, investors, and other stakeholders who support and engage accelerators around the world.
It touched many a nerve and strengthened our belief that what we are building will go on to solve many problems within the existing accelerator framework.
Here’s an interesting report based on five years of evidence from the Global Accelerator Learning Initiative, on
Do Accelerators Work?
Here’s what we learned:
- Accelerators are very useful but still need diversification.
- Startups that go through acceleration programs tend to raise money and grow faster.
- Customization is the key component when designing cohort programs.
- Various organisations like UNDP, SecondMuse, GALI & ANDE are working tirelessly to accelerate the accelerator impact globally.
