The Electronic Entertainment Expo remains one of the most important events in the games industry, even if it’s losing some of the big platform holders such as Sony. And it’s getting a true VR showcase for the first time thanks to our syndication partner, UploadVR.
Earlier this week, UploadVR announced the E3 VR Showcase, a video presentation (it’s like a Nintendo Direct but for VR). It airs 9 a.m. Pacific on June 10 on YouTube. UploadVR will show off new games and trailers, and the crew will also do interviews and bring on guests.
And I expect to see some VR game news at this E3. Oculus VR said that the Quest will be out this spring, and I expect that to be ahead of this big June show. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a bevy of Quest game announcements, either new titles or ports of existing games.
At least, I hope so. We’ll see in seven weeks.
