Someone needs to show this video to President Trump and anyone who doubts the seriousness of the coronavirus.
George Washington University posted a video showing how COVID-19 affects our lungs. Give it a watch here or in our coverage below from Jeremy Horwitz. It shows a “flyover” of a set of lungs, with healthy tissue being a translucent blue. And the areas that the coronavirus plagues? A sickly yellow.
It’s stark, and it’s frightening. I had no idea how the virus spreads in your lungs, and I had no idea it would impact so much of the healthy tissue.
And I’m the spouse of a pharmaceutical chemist who’s clued into these things.
But it also fascinates me, because VR is giving us a look at parts of the world. It’s helping the medical field, it’s helping us work and hold meetings during shelter-in-place and quarantine orders, and it’s providing us entertainment
Just please, be sure to show this video to anyone who doubts the coronavirus.
